I had never heard of a derecho before May 21 of 2022……our area of Ontario, Canada was hit by one that day and it was terrifying. During my 6 day power outage I painted this strong boy while thinking about the power of nature. Nature cannot be controlled or precisely predicted…..we are at its mercy. I am grateful for today and I am grateful for you reading this… This is an original painting on 8 inch round canvas board. Gloss glazed and ready for your home. Hours and hours went into this piece with very tiny paintbrushes at hand and at times worked on by candlelight. I have signed and titled the back “Derecho Moose, 2022
